How can I open Outlook 2003 through Word 2002

I just installed Outlook 2003 and did not upgrade from Word 2002. I get a
message "Word could not load the e-mail envelope. This could be caused by a
network connection problem or a problem with your Office Installation" I
suppose this means that the two will not work together and that I have to
upgrade to Word 2003 as well?
 
Nothing new here. That has always been the case. Never hurts to research
what you're doing before pulling the trigger.
