I downloaded Microsoft Office 7 on a trial basis which I decided not to
purchase. I created a database in Access 7 which was totally stupid because
I can't open it in Microsoft Access 2003. Does anyone know how I can open
the file created in 7 in Access 2003?

This probably means you've created the database in the new accdb format.
To be able to open/work with it in previous versions, you need to open
it in the 2007 version again, then through the Office button, do a Save
As, to the version you wish - 2002/2003 or 2000.

I haven't tried this but ms does offer a file compatibility tool for older
office products as a free download. Again, don't know if this works with
Access data files and even then you may loose some functionality. Pete D.

It doesn't. It's designed to take the new zip/xml format of doc, xls
and ppt files and make older versions of Word, Excel and PPT work with
those. I assume ppt but I don't know that one specifically.
