How can I merge two favorites files

I have a favorites file on my desktop computer and another on my laptop. How can I merge the two files so each computer has the same favorites file? Thanks, Wayno

Waynlo,
If you are networked with them, just drag the items you want from puter
to puter.
If you are not networked, you can offload your faves onto a floppy or burn a
cd
and drag them off of that into the other Faves folder.

You cannot simply copy Favorites folders from one PC to another, as they are
linked to the Windows Registry.

Open IE6.

Then go to File > Import and export...

Save the exported folders in bookmark.htm.

You may have to do some experimenting to accommodate your need to merger
Favorites folders.

Alternatively, checkout

Note: I have not personally confirmed this method works as these web pages
do not always indicate which versions of IE the article applies to.

Michael,
It is strange that it won't work you say, but I have been doing it for
years with no problems.... Hmmmmmmmmmm, am I lucky or what?

FWIW, there are no problems simply copying the contents of the
Favorites folder from one PC to another. They are only folders and
files. The Registry is not an issue here.
