How can I make the white lettering on the desktop fonts a different color? Thanks

First of all, always include your complete question in the body of the
message.

To change font colors on desktop items:

Right click on the desktop.
Select 'Properties' from the drop-down menu.
Click on the appearance tab.
Click on the 'Advanced' button.

In the 'Item' slot, select a entry in the list and whenever there is an
option for font color that you wish to change, make a choice.
Some items (like window text) you probably want to leave set to 'black'.
