I doing a power point presentation with Stars to highlight different things
(doorways, restrooms, etc) but when someone opens it and clicks on the page
the stars move, how can I prevent this?

If you put the 'stars' on the 'master slide' then it makes it less likely
they will be accidently moved.

View menu > masters > slide master

awesome - powerpoint backgrounds,

Why not save it as PowerPoint Slide Show in PPS format? PPS file will be
played when someone open it. So the position of elements will not be changed.

Actually saving it to other formats for show, such as AVI, SWF. Check more at
