I have recently re installed Win2k etc, and have only just noticed that when
I logon, I am logged on as my name, not as administrator....doh!
Anyway is there anyway I can change this or get logged on as administrator?
It is my PC, and I own everything on it.

Thanks

Hold the shift key while logging off to log on as another user.

Right click on My Computer and Select Manage.
Under Local Users and Groups you can administer everything (rename, add your
user to Administrators group, etc).

Ok thanks, I did not think it was so easy!
Just tried it, and everything changes! That is to say, my desktop
arrangement isn't the same(obviously), and some of my programs are acting
like they are being first run/used.

Thanks again

You can copy your other profile to the administrator if
you want your other settings. Right click my computer,
select user profiles, choose the other profile, copy
to ... then administrator.

Ok thanks.
Now then, I selected my 'own name' user profile, then clicked on 'copy to'
but then I was presented with a 'copy to' box, where I could browse to a
folder to copy my profile to. I chose C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator, but then I was told that the contents of existing
folder would be deleted. OK I said, then just checked that folder, but it
looks like nothing has changed.

What happens now then? Reboot for changes to take effect?
Thanks
