How can I insert more columns than the limits of IV?

I have a dataset that contains more than 1500 column variables. Excel only
allows me to go to column IV, which is far short of what I need. How can I
expand the number of columns to fully capture all of my variables? Any
assistance will be greatly appreciated.

You can use MS Access...
:)

I mean, excel doesn't allow that. It's a natural limitation.
OR you may "rotate" your dataset, in case you have less than ~200 rows :)

You can't increase the number of columns in Excel.

You can use more sheets to hold the overflow.

Only solution is to get your hands on a copy of XL 2007 which has 16000+
columns.

You can use MS Access...

Access won't help you here. It is limited to 255 fields in a table.

then it's exactly the same thing, because until IV you get 256 (2^8)
columns... =/
