I want to insert our company logo onto slides. I have the logo saved in
serveral locations.

Can you tell us more? The logo image can be inserted on the Slide Master and it
will then show on every slide. Is that what you want? Go to View > Master >
Slide Master and then to Insert > Picture > Picture from File. Return to View >
Normal and you'll see the logo on all existing slides and on any new ones you
add.

When you insert a picture/logo into powerpoint, it is 'IN' the presentation
and not linked (unless you specifically ask for the logo to be linked to
your file)

If you want the logo on all the slides, then the best place to put the logo
is on the "slide master"

View menu > masters > slide master

Insert menu > picture > from file

What 'format' is the logo currently in?
e.g. bmp, tif, png, jpg, gif, emf, wmf?
