how can I insert a picture within a callout shape?

Please ask your question in the body of the message, not in the subject,
and please include the version of PowerPoint you are using.

In PowerPoint 2003, you can right-click on your callout and choose Format
Autoshape. Click on the Colors and Lines tab. In the drop-down menu for
Fill Color, choose Fill Effects and click on the Picture Tab. Click on
Select Picture and browse to the picture you want.
