Please see your duplicate post in another newsgroup for a question related
to this. As posted there, I don't believe you CAN create an EXE of an
Access database.

Please do not post the same question to multiple newsgroups. It causes
people to invest time in answering your question, then they often find you
already got an answer in another newsgroup and they simply wasted their
time.

Please stick to one post and be patient.

I would reccomend moving to SQL Server if you're frustrated by MDB

MDB has been obsolete for a decade, so sorry

Also, stop posting the same question over and over. You have received
several relevant replies. If you need clarification, continue in those
threads.

I'm not bitter or ignorant

Access MDB isn't reliable enough for real world usage

if you're sick and tired of Access _BUGS_ then you should move to SQL Server

and what are you so bitter about?

are you pissed off that god gave you a queer name?

I'm fine with Access, which is reliable in the right hands. Like anything
else, it has strengths and limitations. That you can not learn how to use
it is not the program's fault.

I think she misunderstands about the difference between and mde and an exe.
From the sounds of this post, she followed someone elses instructions about
how to create an mde file and is trying to open that file as an editable mdb.

Karthikeyan,

You should be able to go back to your file system and find the application
with the mdb extension, rather than the mde extension. The whole point of
creating an mde is to create a file that your users cannot modify the code or
forms in.

My point about posting the question repeatedly is because there are at least
four separate postings in two groups that are the same question by the OP.

Thank you for your reply,
Actually, I dont know the diff between EXE and mde file. What i created is,
I opened my application in Access Menu I select Tools >> Startup
in that window I entered the application name and selected the Display form
page then Unchecked all the checkboxes in that window and then OK button.
after this only i m not able to open my application in editable mode. It is
opening directly the startin page. In tools also im not able to get any
options.

Now can u please tell me what can i do to get the editable mode?

Thanks

Hold down the SHIFT key while opening the database; or, press the F11 key once
it has been opened.
