You can't, but if there is a DC in the same site and it is a Global Catalog, it
will use it 99.99999% of the time.

Are you sure you can't? I have a feeling that I heard this question before
(ALAS, I don't know the answer myswlf) but there was a tweak to set it up.
Perhaps in the GPO, DHCP, or DNS settings somewhere??
