How can I find my product key?

I'm trying to reinstall 2000 to a new drive. I have lost
my product key. Is there anyway I can find it through my
computer?

It's on your COA (Certificate Of Authority).
This would be a sticker either on your computer case or on
the packaging your CD came in.
If you have neither, you need to contact the manufacturer.
Even the big boys Gateway, Compaq, etc. have been known
not to follow the law when selling computer packages.
I had a friend in this situation who contacted Gateway and
they sent him the proper stuff for no extra charge.
