How can I edit the Register of a non Active WinXP Installation?

When trying to erase an specific entry in the Win Xp Register, in fact I
deleted more than I should and now I don't get to start my System in any mode
(Security, Last Working Configuration or Prompt).

Then, I installed WinXP on my other HD and got my computer working again. I
get access to all my files in the first Win XP environment but would like to
re-estabilish it, by recovering its Register as before my erase action. I
would like to recover my environment again.

So, is it possible to edit that first Register? How? It looks simple and
possible, due to the sequence of events that leaded to this situation, but
how?

Can't promise successful results for your situation but steps for

Another alternative for you -depending on what you have available as media
for the operating system - would be a "repair install." Article with the
