DNS register problem

Dear folks, I have one problem to register my DNS.

I have a domain controler in windows 2000 server, I set in my ethernet
the DNS preferential with the IP of my server. And when I going to DOS
mode and try to register the DNS by the command "ipconfig
/registerdns", the DNS not register and I have the following error
message in events viewer:

Server DNS found an addressed package to he himself -- address IP
192.168.0.10. Server DNS must not have sent a package to he
himself. This situation indicates an error of configuration generally.
It verifies the areas below to know on possible errors of
auto-sending configuration: 1) List of encaminhadores. (Servers DNS
do not have to direct to they themselves).
2) Main lists of secondary zones.
3) Lists of notification of primary zones.
4) Delegations of subzonas. It does not have to contain register NS for
this server DNS, except if subzona also will be in this server.

Example of autodelegation:
- > This server DNS dns1.foo.com is the elementary school for the
foo.com zone.

- > the foo.com zone contains a delegation of bar.foo.com for
dns1.foo.com, (bar.foo.com NS dns1.foo.com)
- > HOWEVER, the bar.foo.com zone is not in this server.

It observes that you must in such a way effect this verification of
delegation (with nslookup or Manager DNS) in this server DNS, how much
in (s) the serving one (es) for (s) which (is) you delegated the
sub-zone. It is possible that the delegation has been effected
correctly, but that the primary DNS of the sub-zone has some incorrect
register NS pointing in return with respect to the server. If this
incorrect register NS will be stored in cache in this server, the
auto-sending will occur later. If it will be found, the administrator
of server DNS will have to remove register NS incorrect.

So... with this problem, the FTP or any other service is not working.

What can I do to repair this?

CAIO

Do you have any forwarders configured?
Do you have a delegated subzone? (Delegated subzone looks like a gray folder
that contains only NS records of the DNS servers that must have the full
zone)

E.g. forward lookup zone named 'domain.com' with a delegated subzone named
'sub'. This delegated subzone has NS records in it, and the servers for the
NS records MUST have a zone named 'sub.domain.com'

Thanks for your helping Kevin,

yes I have a forwarders configured.

And I have a delegated subzone with the name of my server and with just
one NS record in. This NS is with name "domain.local" and is configured
with the IP of my server.

It is lacking more some thing?

Sorry about bad english, I`m from Brasil.

You delegated the host name of your DNS server?

Why?
Delete the delegation, let the server create its won A record in the zone.

I didn`t delegated the host name with my DNS server! It`s created for
the proper server (for what I remember)! But OK, I will delete it. And
what I have to do to the server create the record zone? Just boot?

ipconfig /registerdns

Kevin,

that was you sad to me. I`m deleted the delegation and I made the
command in DOS ipconfig /registerdns, but the problem still persisting.
I think I`m going to delete the DNS original and create another one.
But I would like your help to create the new DNS, if it is possible.
After uninstall the DNS, wich are the steps to create another one
integrated with Active Directory?

Are there any other delegations in your zone, that may be delegated to
itself?
Is the DNS server forwarding to itself?
Check the Root hints tab, make sure that the server does not have itself
listed as a root hint server.
Are there any secondary zones in DNS with it trying to get zone data from
itself? (General tab)

No, there is no another zone delegated in the server, just one
integrated with Active Directory.

Yes, the DNS server is forwarding to itself in the ethernet
configuration. The DNS preferential is directed to itself.

The Root hints tab are the events in General tab?

I have just one zone primary, don`t have any zone secondary.

A forwarder is set on the Forwarders tab of the DNS server properties sheet
in the DNS management console. Do not forward to itself there. Do use its
own address in the DNS server list in TCP/IP properties.

The Root hints are on the Root hints tab.
I have just one zone primary, don`t have any zone secondary.

open the zone and send me a screen print of the zone data.

For good reason!
What`s your real e-mail?

I cannot post my real e-mail here, that email address is munged to prevent
spamming, remove the nospam. as directed by my signature. Do not post an
unmunged e-mail address, especially my e-mail address, in a public NG, there
are spamming applications, viruses, and worms that will search computers for
e-mail addresses to mass mail themselves to.

your mail back.

Please, send me an email in (e-mail address removed). I will reply you an
