How Can I direct accounts/PC's to Specific DC's for Authentication

M

Mike Smith

I have a bandwidth issue at a remote site (cable modem speed
bandwidth) which I tried to help with a DC/Global Catalog cacheing
server. What I have noticed is that now MOST authentication is using
that server at the remote site to authenticate. I would like ONLY
users at that site to authenticate there, and everyone else to
authenticate at main site.

I run Windwos 2003 Native Mode
Active Directory 2003 Mode
Windows XP Pro clients
Windows 2003 Standard server TS clients
Main site should authenticate everyone except site 2
10 remote sites, one main site
3 DC's (2 at main, one at site 2)

TIA

Make sure that your main site also has a Global Catalog Server.

Have you defined your sites, then assigned subnets and DCs to them in AD
Sites And Services?
