I want to save the messages in my INBOX to a portable hard drive to preserve
the data. Could you please explain me the copying procedures? I am using
windows XP pro and outlook 2003.

Your early response on the above is highly appreciated

Hi Hassan,

In Outlook on the File menu, you have an option for Import and Export
you can use this option to export the data to a file. You can also tell
Outlook where to store the file. You can export just your Inbox or every
folder (Calendar, Task, Sent Items, etc) if you want.

Close Outlook completely. Copy your PST to the portable drive. All done.
