how can I control multiple copies of emails from coming in

What version of Outlook? What sort of mail account(s)? When you get the
duplicates, do they all come in the same send/receive, or in separate
send/receives?

I am using outlook 2003

I recieve duplicate emails in in the samne receive and then sometimes they
just show up again. with out the sender resending. I dont know what you mean
what kind of mail accts. other then outllook and outlook express from the
most frequent ones that I receive so many duplicates

Account type is whether your mail account is POP3, Exchange, Hotmail, etc.
I'll assume you have POP3.

If you get duplicates in the same download it's because multiple copies of
the message were sent to you, so you can't change things on your end. If
you know the people from whom you receive the duplicates, ask them if they
have anti-virus software scanning their outgoing mail. If so, suggest that
they turn that option off - it seems to be involved with sending multiple
copies of a message.
