how can i check an e-mail account i have from my workplace

i need help finding a way to check my work e-mail account from my home
computer. I am not very knowledgable about outlook, but i am told it can be
done. can anyone step me through the process
 
Ask your network administrator. There are several ways it can be done,
depending upon how the admin has it set up.
