How can I change the default views settings in the save as window

Thanks for your help. But I guess I didn't phrase the question clearly
enough. I want a solution that automatically opens the save window in the
Details view. This saves me the time of manually changing the setting.

In case you would like to know the best reply I got, this is it:

This is the only free program to modify the Open/Save
Dialog window.

"FileOpenPatcher enlarges the Windows Open File dialog and
sets Details view as default."

FileOpenPatcher (Scroll down page) 468 KB (Freeware)
