and still stay a member of my domain. I would like to get all computers in
this company on the same computer name scheme, but I am worried about
connectivity. We are all members of a domain. I have 3 PCs with active
names and I want to change each to a name(which I know is not listed in
Active Directory - Computers).

Also, if I wanted to switch computer names from one which is listed in
Active Directory - Computers How do I do that.

Basically the office has a map and I want to make everybody's computer come
in succession on the map to be able to more easily locate PCs. We use VNC to
connect and administer.

Just change the name on each PC. The name change will be registered in
Active Directory, DNS and DHCP. You will need an administrator
name/password to make the change, and possibly to log onto each PC to change
the name depending on the amount of desktop lockdown you enforce.
