How can I block spam email with no sender, no subject line in Out.

I've been getting lots of (apparently blank) email messages lately, with no
sender name or subject line displayed. I know some of these messages are
'phishing spams' that are likely to conceal hidden HTML code and which will
try to open Internet Explorer and direct me to a website without my
permission.

I find these messages worrying and offensive.

How can I block these messages from entering Outlook in the first place?

Any rule you can set in Outlook, or any antispam software you use in
Outlook, will act only after the message is downloaded. If your mail server
has antispam capabilities, that might be an answer - or look into Mailwasher
for one option (I think you have to check it first before downloading your
mail into outlook).

Re HTML stuff - if you get OL2003 it blocks downloading that sort of thing
(spam beacons) by default, which is very good indeed.

I believe these blank messages are sent by spammers because many spam
blacklists work on the % of spam sent from a specific IP address. Blank
messages aren't classed as spam so they help to make the spammer look more
legitimate.

Our Toolbox (.http://www.lbetoolbox.com/) has an antispam tool that will
delete messages which have blank subject and blank body
