I am very new to Powerpoint. I have seen slide presentations where words or
graphics are displayed after a slide has been diplayed. That is, words or
graphic are transitioned into the slide ...I have applied the basic help
information Powerpoint tutorial provides...but I still do not know how to add
words/text once I have displayed a slide .. help.

Just to add on,
the above post was meant for PowerPoint 2002/XP and above.

If you are using PowerPoint 2000 and below,
You will need to bring up the custom animation dialog box,
then under "Check to animate slide objects", you will need to put a
checkmark on the text/picture to start animating them.
To change the effect, click on the effects tab.

Hope this helps.
