Hi
I have had( and still has) giga problems with IE. A problem suddenly acc.
with wininet.dll. I surfed the webb and found a lot of tips on how to fix
this problem. Neither one worked. So I got fed up and tried manually to
delete IE (yes I know that wasn't the best thing to do!). So now I stuck
with nothing else but a big mess.

When I tried to reinstall IE I got an error message that said that an
earlier version of IE wasn't completly installed - Please restart your
computer.
And then the installation was terminated.
So the final thing to try was to reinstall w98. Which I did and that didn't
help either...
The worst part is that some of the functions in IE influence Excel(save as a
webbpage...). So now I'm in a double jam. I cant use either IE or Excel the
way I want...

So my questions are pretty obvious:
How can I get rid of IE?
Or the leftovers in the registry (?) that causes this?
And then do a completly fresh reinstall of IE?

Plz, I dont want format c: and then reinstall w98! :-(

BIG thanks in adv.
