Hours into minutes

I have three cells,

In A1 I may enter a start time of 09.00
In B1 I may enter an end time of 12.30
In C1 I will manually convert the 3.5 hours into minutes (210 minutes)

Is there a formula that will do this for me?

try:
=(B1-A1)*24*60
and format this cell as 'Number'

Use custom format (Format/Cell on Custom tab) [h]:mm to show elapsed time
in hours
