What is up with Vista not allowing me to use my hotmail account when i want
to send a web page or a link to a friend? Is there a way around this? When
the drop down send email menu happens, it automatically uses windows live
mail which is outlook. ANNOYING.

Those features will automatically use the e-mail program that is set as the
default for the system.

You shouldn't be annoyed with Vista. Vista knows what's best for you and how
you should be using your computer. No quit whining. Vista is great!!!! It's
the bestist operating system Microsoft ever sold me!! I love Vista!!!!!!

I find your problem statement very confusing.
When you want to send a web page or link, the system calls the
default mail handler, which is an email program. Hotmail is NOT
an email program.
Also, Windows Live Mail is not Outlook.
