Hotmail locks up IE

I can get Hotmail homepage and login fine. When trying to click on anything
once inside (inbox, junkmail, favorites, close IE, minimize, etc...) IE is
completely locked and have to Ctrl+Alt+Delete & End Task + Error Report.
May have inadvertantly used 'End Process' once, first time this happened.
Occassionally will allow me to go to Inbox, but will lock inside Inbox or
MAYBE after one email (super rare).
Spybot, AdAware, native virus scan & 2 online virus scans no help or findings.
ALL other websites work without problem.
System Restore back to 2 weeks ago no help.
Wireless and Ethernet, no difference.
XP Home SP2. Asus S5ne laptop, 256 RAM, 1.0Ghz p4M, 40GigHD (20x2)
TrendMicro PC-Cillin
No system changes or major program installs since this started (about Mon or
Tues 11/15-11/16).
Thoughts?

It seems this is a wide spread issue, with a single solution that doesn't
work in each case. What worked for me was, under "Internet Options",
"Sites", I added "hotmail.com" and "msn.com" and clicked "allow" for each.
Now I can access my hotmail account again without a hitch. At least for the
moment.

Ahhh thanks for the info, glacialdrift. But I did just as you suggested and
did not fix it at all.
Maybe all those error reports spamming out of my machine to MS will get them
to notice
Anyone else have suggestions or solutions?
