sometimes when i try to send an e-mail i'll get a message saying window no
longer supports http and prompts me to set up a windows live id account. when
i go to do this i'm informed that if i already have a hotmail account then
that is my live id now. fine, except i still get the http messaage until i
went ahead and set up a seperate account with live id which worked for a
while although i continued to use my old hotmail account. Now I'm getting the
http message again, so i tried using the account i had previously set up for
live id, but that didn't work (same old http message) so i went ahead and set
up yet another account for live id buit i still get the http message so
iacant send the e-mail. i am going around in circles and am getting dizzy.
Does anyone know how i can get off this merry-go-round?

You didn't say what email client you are using so it is hard to tell you how
to configure it correctly.

How about some specific please.

Other than that I can say that Windows Mail no longer will work with
Hotmail, Yahoo Mail etc.

I am new to computers so please bear with me. I have been using MSN hotmail.
Does this answer you question?

I tried to download windows live mail beta but no success. I get three or
four Symantec pop ups and I click allow this instance each time and then
nothing.

Disable your Symantec Antivirus software in the notification area then try
downloading again.

Isthat under manage add ons? I tried that and disabled Norton Confidential
Browser but got the same result.

No, in the right hand corner of the screen, I would disable it in the
browser too to be honest since it obviously doesn't what to block.
