Hi there.

I received an e-mail with tons of Windows and MS applications hotkeys.

I noticed there`s a Mark All as Read hotkey in Outlook Express (but in the
list it`s just Outlook). In Outlook it does`nt works... I tryed to find
anyway to change or assing a hotkey to a menu command, with no sucess... And
the help results for "Hotkey" search is EMPTY (?) !!!
Is that subject so boring or useless that there's nothing to tell about it ?

Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance...

In outlook's help search for shortcut, not hotkey.

Mark all as read is alt+e+e

Thank you Diane.

I don't call this (Alt+e+e) a Keyboard Shorcut... This is the Keybord way to
access the menu item... I know that works... But I know you got my point of
view.

Following this ideia this "shortcut" opens the help dialog with the "hotkey"
(empty) results...
"F1 - CTRL+ALT+LeftArrow - Del - h+o+t+k+e+y - Enter"

I can't believe Microsoft could'nt improve that in their office pack... In
the Customize Era their softwares still stucked...

I think i should customize myself to Office`s "shortcuts".

Thank you again for your attention.

you can change the shortcuts - but they only work if visible. So... you need
to open tools, customize and move the mark all command to a toolbar and
right click on it and change the letter used for the hot key.

Hi Diane,

Thank you for your helpful posts here. Can you explain how exactly I could
change the shortcut for a given command? Specifically, I'd like to change
the Find command within a message window from F4 to Ctrl-F.

Ctrl-F is currently set to Forward, which drives me batty, as I naturally
associate Ctrl-F with Find. So I'd like to unset Ctrl-F from Forward and set
it instead to Find. I would have thought right-clicking the item in the menu
or toolbar and going to Customize... would have done the trick, but alas, it
is not the case.

Thank you in advance!
