I've noticed at least 10 entries listed in my Add/Remove
function of my XP Professional.

Does anybody know what they are and can I delete them
withou harming my system?

The hotfixes are windows updates and should not be deleted.

These are entries to remove the hotfixes that have been installed. If your
system is stable, and you don't need to remove the actual hotfix, you can
remove the Add/Remove Registry entries, and the associated backup files.
See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Remove Hotfix Backup Files.

"Hotfixes" are the updates you installed from the Windows Update
website. Do not be tempted to remove them or you will uninstall
the actual updates.

If you wish to safely remove the "uninstall files" for the
Hotfixes (i.e. $NtUninstallQxxxxxx$ files shown in Windows Explorer)
and cleanup your Add/Remove Programs list, visit MS-MVP Doug Knox's
excellent website for instructions.

Note: Doug's program only removes the uninstall files and Hotfix entries
in the Add/Remove Programs listing. It does not remove the
actual updates.
