Hotfix

I am having the problem addressed in article 329623 as well as Ikernel.exe
failure trying to install DVD player software. From all that I have read
these to are directly related. Here is the catch, I am running Windows XP
SP2 home edition which should have corrected this problem. Another thing,
the Hotfix that supposedly causes this problem (Hotfix Q328310) does not show
in my programs list. I wanted to try and run the fix listed in the above
mentioned article but its only for SP1 and doesnt allow it under SP2. Is
there a way around this? Help!

That hot fix (KB329623) is included with SP2. Since it is part of SP2 it
won't be listed seperately in Add or Remove Programs.
