You get hotfixes by contacting Microsoft. There is no charge. They will
send you an email with a link and the hotfix password.

MS phone number for hot fixes in USA - 800-936-5700

If you are not in the US, look at the Contact MS link at the hotfix page
at Microsoft's site.

Hi tom,

i already followed the instructions on the page and MS is charging me 35
bucks to get the hotfix and that is not acceptable for me, if you know where
i can get this hotfix for free i'd really appreciate it

If you call an only ask for the hotfix then you don't get charged. Don't
be asking for anything but the hotfix.

Read it closer. You will not be charged.
