I have read in a couple of recent postings that the patch KB 835732 has a bug in it.
I can't find any details of this bug nad what the problem is anywhere.
Does anyone have any information on this?
Thanks

Hotfix KB835732 installed just fine on my system. Can't say there
is a bug in it since it installed OK.

I had a "corporate" mandate to install this HotFix and NONE of the Win2K or WinXP platforms
had a problem with it.

.
No troubles here.

Had a computer not want to accept install of 835732 . And
them rebooting caused the system to only want to boot in
safe mode, restored back to before update and all fine.
Another one had their graphics card act up.. Nobody seems
to know when this problem will be resolved.Lots of examples
of problems in the windows update group.

Not sure if this was considered a bug, but I did find that Windows update
kept downloading this fix day after day. I would install it and next day it
was offered up again. No errors were indicated and it didn't ask me to
re-boot which I thought was somewhat unusual.

After about four episodes of this I uninstalled it, downloaded the patch,
and installed manually. This time it did ask for a re-boot so I think it was
truly successful.

In my Googling I did find cases where this patch slowed computers by
starting a process that sucked up all the CPU cycles. Search Google groups
with the patch number if you want more details.
