If you contact Microsoft Support and ask for nothing more than the
hotfix listed in KB817534, they will send it to you, without charging
you anything for it.
I phoned microsoft this morning.
They will charge me with 299 Euro plus tax because "the functional support
for windows 2000 is expired at June 30th 2005".
That's the reason why I ask for help.
That was probably the charge for support, that is different than obtaining a
hotfix. Perhaps the tel.rep did'nt understand the request
