hot spot hover text

hi all,

i am looking for a way to add hot spots to a graphic, a
picture of a baseball team, so that when the mouse is
hovered over a particular players face or body area, a
text box will pop up giving the players name or other
info. something similar to alt text or a tool tip. i don't
want to hyperlink, just show the text.
