I add one entry to the HOSTS and MSAS's icon disappear but it is still running
:-)
 
had latest version of definitions and had to update
MS popup asking OK to allow change to HOSTS

Guessing that if user made any manual changes , a reboot may be necessary
 
I don't know what's going on with the icon hiding. It is happening to me
now too. The bugs are coming out of the woodwork--we need beta2!
 
oh well, we do know what happens after bugs are sent don't we ? <beg>

if only posters quit posting off topic posts here, and post with details on the
MSAS problems, beta 2 should be around the corner :-(
 
I think bug hiding issue has somthing to do with Windows XP's retracting and
hide icons notification area.
Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. Click Microsoft AntiSpyware and
click Change. Click Next, and then click Update.
