hosts file problem

Hello, I'd like to add an entry to my hosts file like:

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx sitename

however, I am not the administrator of the machine, so I cannot save
any edits to
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC\HOSTS
(This is windows XP)

Is there someway that I can get the site sitename to resolve to
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx at least for when I log into the computer?

Ask your administrator to take care of it for you or to give you the
necessary access rights to make the changes.
