I'm having a amd TL-50 dual core processor running with windows XP.
I'm using some application which has a Flexlm licesing so i need to
run a Flexlm license server on my m/c.

Once configured server run fine for few days and then it starts
complaining aobut change in host id, And i have to regenerate the
license file with the new host id but after some day it again starts
complaining.

I had successfully run that Flexlm server over Spark multi processor m/
c and machine with Intel single core cpus.

What could be the cause of the problem.

The order of the network adapter could have changed, if the license is
created for the MAC address.
Newer versions of the FlexLM server will not error out if this
happens.
You can reorder the adapters under "Network Neighborhood => Properties
=> Advanced => Advanced Settings".

To be more specific, we would need to know what kind of FlexLM ID your
license uses.

My FlexLM licenses are bound to the host id of my machine.
Interestingly the "lmhostid" utility supplied with Flexlm suit give
different hostid then previous ( used for creation of license file )
when such error occurs.
I'm using Flexlm server daemon ( lmgrd version 9.5 ) created from
i86_n3 module.

There are several Host IDs available on a machine, which are all based
on a different component, like MAC address, CPU-ID, hard disk ID, etc.

I think you will get more answers on the Macrovision forum, since this
is a problem specific to this software.
