I checked the box in Ad-Aware for Host. After scanning
was finished it displayed this message.
"Scanning Hosts file(C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc\hosts)

Warning!

entry:12.129.205.209:search.netscape.com12.129.205.209

Redirected hostfile entry Object recognized!
Type : Hosts file
Data : 12.129.205.209
Bad Hostfile entry :

There should be no need for any entries in your host file other than maybe
nodes on the local network so I'd say go for it.

It's a bogus entry. I just checked and search.netscape.com resolves to:
205.188.180.118 and 64.12.153.151.
Kill it!

To protect a file/folder on your system from improper modification you
should change the attrib to read-only or remove account access to those
files/folders.
