Hosts file problem

My file C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts does not seem to be doing its
job.
For instance: In my hosts file there are two entries. 127.0.0.1 ads.cnn.com
and 127.0.0.1 ads.cnn.net
When I ran Ad-Aware 2007 this morning there was ads.cnn listed as threats.
What can I do to correct this problem?

where did it say the threats were located.
could they have been in the HOSTS file itself.

had you cleaned the cookies before updating the hosts file.
is it possible they are just left over from before.
might check the dates on them.

Yes, the cookies were cleaned prior to updating the hosts file.

Correct what problem?

Those two entries in HOSTS prevent your computer from going to ads.cnn.com
or ads.cnn.net

They are non-standard entries put there by a person or program other than
Windows. Ad-Aware is probably just detecting the non-standard entry and
reporting it.
