Hope this is a simple Question

I posted this question a few hours ago, but it must be a
very tough one: I am missing my boot.ini file (s). I
went to bootdisk.com, downloaded the (6) floppies, then I
changed my boot sequence so it would boot to the A:, I
installed up til the 4th disk and I got a "system boot
disk error". I cannot figure out what is wrong. I do not
have an OS cd (lost). Am I trying to load the "bootdisk"
wrong by changing the "boot sequence" to "floppy first",
I've redownloaded the bootdisk program on different
floppies, but it always stops at disk 4. Does anyone
have any ideas.

Is it trying to reboot at disk 4?
Because if it is then you need to remove the disk before it can boot.

They won't do you much good since you will need to use the Windows XP CD-ROM to
finish the process.

You posted the question a few hours ago and you think you should
already have an answer? You are about to get a rude awakening to the
reality of peer support newsgroups.

Impatience is not well regarded or rewarded here.

24 hours is considiered the minimum amount of time you should wait
before reposting.

Eh? He already downloaded those exact same disks as the XP bootdisk
links at bootdisk.com are hotlinks to MS XP bootdisk download pages.
