Homepage problems

How do I permanently delete an unwanted homepage? I have
no idea how it appears, but regardless of how many times
I reset my preferred page the unwanted one pops-up.

Sounds to me like you have been infected with whats called
ad-ware. Software designed to pop ads up, take you to
certain pages etc in the hopes that you will buy something
from one of those sites.

Do a search for a program Ad-Aware. Its free, and does the
job in getting rid of almost everything out there.

A good place to start anyway.
