Homepage overwritten

I've got all the usual antivirus and firewall protection,
and I run Spy Sweeper and Ad-aware every night
automatically. Problem is that I have some little bug
which overwrites my homepage setting every time I launch
IE6 - redirects to some 'spider' site.
My Spy Sweeper software detects it has been overwritten,
and alerts me, but doesn't semm to be able to get rid of
it. Help please.

Thank you so much.......I'd done a keyword search
on 'homepage overwritten' and got nothing...obviously it
helps with expert guideance.
