My quick boot cd loads and sets up fo install. When I get
to A:\ I enter E:\setup to load from my CD but I receive
a message can't run program from DOS. I found support that
said I need to load i386\winnt.exe. When I try this the
message says can't read program. I checked my xp disk on
another computer and found the wiint.exe file. Help

You dont load the XP setup from DOS. The CD is bootable. If you do not
have a bootable CD-ROM drive then you can download the 6 boot floppies from
Microsoft to start the install.

The old habits we learned from Win 3.1x and Win 9x die hard. In Windows
2000 and XP, you do not run Setup from a DOS prompt. Use the bootable CD,
and run Setup from that.
