i 'm a brit living in S.Korea - I've got home premium korean edition & I want
to upgrade to ultimate & change the laguage. Where do I get the right
upgrade from & how do I change the language settings?? Thanks

Hello, if you install ultimate then you will see a list of language packs
under the "windows ultimate extras" list,

there you will select the one you want, and then from the control
panel language and settings you can change the language you want to use...

for more info on how to upgrade see here:

cheers Jim,
I tried to buy the upgrade
& I got
"Thank you for your interest in Windows® Vista™.
Windows Anytime Upgrade is not available in your country/region at this
time. You can purchase the edition of Windows Vista you are interested in at
a Microsoft authorized merchant."

Sorry for asking a stupid question - but does that mean I can't get it - or
do I have to purchase the "whole" english version?

It means you have to buy a copy from local dealer in your country. I'm sure
Windows Vista is sold in your country. If not, just buy the Vista Ultimate
Upgrade package, upgrade to it from Home Premium, then download the Ultimate
Extras content which includes the Multi-lingual packs.
