You may have Spybot Search & Destroy installed and it is preventing spyware
from changing your homepage (as well as you).
To remedy this (and you have Spybot installed), open it and go to the
Immunize section. Scroll down and uncheck the 'Lock IE start page' option
and close Spybot.
