home page will not open when going back online

about last 2 monthes,if I go off line and want to go back on I get stopped.If
I go to msconfig there is a program that is checked and running.When I
uncheck it everything is normal.how can I stop this? The progam is listed
as-----ctfmon c:\windows\system can anything be done to clear this?
 
I suggest you perform antivirus and antispyware scans. The legitimate ctfmon
file used by OfficeXP is located in windows/system32 folder not on on
windown/system folder.
 
ctfmon.exe is a process belonging to Microsoft Office Suite.. If you don't use advanced text in Word, you can switch this off. It will disable the language bar also. Go to regional and language options in Control panel. Select languages/details. On the advanced tab, check the box to turn off advanced text services. That should do away with it.
