I have run just about every spy ware program (hijack this, adaware, spybot) and Norton anti virus as well, with sytem restore disabled, but I can still not get rid of a critter that has my home page under its spell. The address it keeps coming up with is this < res://jujui.dll/index.html#37049 > I have deleted several files with it in through my spyware and changed the home page address, but it just keeps re appearing. What can I do appart from throwing the machine in the river.

Have you tried in Safe Mode?

Have you tried searching for it in the registry and deleting it there?

It appears that you have been hit by the CoolWebSearch hijacker. You
can download the CoolWebShredder that should fix this problem here:
http://www.spychecker.com/program/coolwebshredder.html

Once you run that you should go to the Microsoft Windows Update page
and download all the critical updates. This should fix the
vulnerability with the Java VM that allowed this to install itself in
your system. Good luck and happy putering :~)

If you click start then help and support you will find systems restore. This will restore you're system to an earlier date without losing e-mails, documents ect. Just restore it to a date just before you got hifacked. This didn't work for me because of another problem I also have so does anyone know a different way to get rid of 123 Mania which has hifacked my homepage?
