I have a simple home network consisting of a XP/Home SP2 and XP/Pro SP2.
They are connedted through a 4 port hub. Up until 4/13/05, they were able to
share files, printers and a dial up internet connection. The XP/Home is the
host for the internet connection. Up until 4/13/05, I was able to access the
Internet anytime the XP/Home PC was connected.

The one thing I did run was the Network Diagnostics on the XP/Home and the
network adapter fails with errors on pinging the address generated by DHCP
and an invalid IP address for the DHCP server. The XP/Pro does not have the
issue with the network adapter but does list an invalid IP address for the
DHCP server. Both PC's use DHCP and the only way I could get the network to
work initially was to install the IPX protocol.

I am stumped as to what has changed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Paul,

Please start a new thread with a different, more descriptive Subject. This one
has already been hijacked.
