Home Networking + Cable Internet connection + Firewall?

I will be networking three new Windows XP HE PC's, with simple file sharing and printer
sharing, and a cable internet connection. All three have network adapters, and I'll be
using a router. Sharing the cable internet connection between the three systems, I will
be using a firewall, probably the Norton Internet Security suite that comes by default
with the new PCs. My question is: Will the firewall interfere with the file sharing
between the PCs, and if so, what settings will I have to configure to allow the firewall
to allow the file sharing between the 3 PCs, but still protect with the firewall from the
shared Road Runner internet connection?

That's a standard setup. I also use a cable Internet connection (Comcast
here) with a router and have lots of mixed OS machines on the lan. All
the Windows boxen run third-party firewalls (Sygate, in my case). You
do need to add the lan IP range as trusted. With Sygate, there is an
"allow Network Neighborhood" setting. With ZoneAlarm, you need to add
the range to the Zones area (I use 192.168.1.0-192.168.1.254). How you
do it in Norton's firewall depends on the Norton configuration
settings, which I don't know. Look around in the firewall options, I
suppose.
