Hi, Shay -

I've seen this a few times. Here's an easy workaround -

Open a command prompt window.

Type 'net stop spooler' (no quotes) and hit the enter key.

Run the network wizard.

In the same command prompt window, type 'net start
spooler' and hit the enter key to restart the print
spooler.

Hope this helps -

I encountered the problem that you answered, and the workaround that you
gave did fix the network setup wizard.

What I don't understand is that I had my home network set up previously
(using a wireless router), and wireless receiver (Broadband 802.11b).
Everything was working fine (shared printers, shared folders) until one day,
my wife said that that the network printer was not available. When I
checked I saw that the workgroup computers were not visible to each other.
I checked the Symantec firewall and nothing had changed (DHCP assigned IP
address range was in the trusted zone.

I then tried to run the network setup wizard again, and received the error
that you replied to.

The only software that I had installed recently was an upgrade from Kazaa
2.6.2 to 2.6.3, and Spybot 1.2.

With the network setup wizard working properly (using your workaround) will
this restore the network correctly?

Do you know the cause?

The error only happened on one of the two computers in the network.

The specs (for both are)
Pentium 4 3.2GHz
1GB RAM
250GB HDD
Intel Pro10/100 Integrated Network port connected to router

Hope that you can advise
